Silk Scarf Care Guide

Care for your digitally printed twill silk scarf from The MAnnequin Collection with a gentle touch. Always follow the scarf’s care label; printing alone does not guarantee washability or colourfastness.

Before cleaning

If the label permits hand washing, test a hidden corner with cool water and a little silk-safe detergent. Gently press with a clean white cloth and allow the test area to dry. If colour transfers or the texture changes, stop and consult a professional cleaner experienced with printed silk. A successful test does not guarantee the whole scarf is washable.

Hand washing or professional cleaning

Hand wash only if the care label permits it. If the label specifies dry cleaning, or you are unsure, ask a specialist cleaner for advice and tell them the scarf is digitally printed twill silk. Professional cleaning is not risk-free, so discuss the print and any stains beforehand.

Gentle hand washing

Use cool water and a small amount of gentle, silk-safe detergent, following its instructions. Avoid hot or boiling water, bleach, stain-removal remedies and vigorous rubbing. Move the scarf gently through the water, do not soak for extended periods, and rinse in cool clean water.

Drying

Never twist or wring. Lay the scarf on a clean towel and roll gently to absorb excess water. Reshape and dry flat in the shade, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not tumble dry.

Storage

Store only when fully dry, loosely folded or rolled in a clean, breathable pouch. Keep away from sunlight, damp conditions and snagging jewellery or sharp edges.
